Happy Leap Day!

Hope you had a great Leap Day!

For dinner, we made this orange chicken from Costco that was YUMMY! I'm not an orange chicken fan and I loved it! We used olive oil to fry it in the skillet and had some organic whole grain brown rice and made it a TINY bit healthier!

On a more serious note, I sought out a second opinion from a different doctor regarding my fertility issues and testing. I have finally gotten some answers and a diagnosis today! Praise the Lord! I want to leap for joy! (no pun intended!) We will be able to proceed with a treatment plan that over a few months should help me get to "normal"...to borrow Walt's word from earlier this month! Patience is key but after almost 4 years, we can handle a few more months!

Twice as Promising!

Walt's officer (Walt's boss' boss' boss) told Walt this morning that the officer who interviewed him called her TWICE yesterday! The other officer said Walt was very articulate in his interview!

This is a good sign!

Keep the prayers coming!

PS- That probably sounds confusing about the officer! The promotion Walt is applying for is Assistant Officer- the equivalent of his current boss' superior. (Walt's boss' boss)

"I'm Normal!"

We had a praise this month.

Walt had several things checked this month for our infertility and they have come back 100% normal and healthy much to his doctor's amazement! He is completely fixed and he said that it feels good to be normal...to which he quickly adds, "well, at least in this area!"

For those that are praying for us now and those that have been as the years have gone by, thank you so much! This process with his surgery and medications has been 18 months alone. Pray that I can be normal in this area too!

"Home Run, Baby!"

Those are the words Walt exclaimed when he walked out of his office after the interview. (We work together.) Needless to say, the interview went well. He said it was very conversational and he is confident that if he doesn't get the job, it's not because of a bad interview. This makes the wait a little easier. It's in God's hands now!

Thanks for all your prayers and please continue to pray while we wait!

The interviewer said he will make his decision within the week and then it has to go through central office and all the ruckus of approvals.

While three weeks is "quick" to hear back, three months is not unheard of!

Interview!

We had a fabulous start to our three-day weekend!

The promotion that Walt mailed his application packet on Saturday has already been processed and he was called personally by the potential future boss this afternoon to set up an interview! (In the past, he's been called by an admin assistant!) Praise the Lord!

His interview is Friday (2/22) at 2pm!

We feel a huge peace about this opportunity but ask that you pray with us! We want to be open to what the Lord wants and not get too excited about what WE think would be best!

Thank you!

When it rains, it pours!

After we decided for me to stay home, Walt has had new promotional opportunities sent to him WEEKLY by his boss' boss. He applied for the one I mentioned earlier this week and now he is applying for another one. Please pray for us as we use discernment in which to apply for. We are trying to apply for any area that we can reasonably afford. We had to pass San Diego up...impossible to live on his income alone there! (Average house price is $750,000!)

We are trying to be open to God's leading and where He wants us to be.

Thanks!

So True...

New Opportunity

Since making the decision for me to stay home in October, we are now looking at each opportunity for promotion for Walt and praying about it.

We have felt led for Walt to apply for a promotion out of state and we mailed off his application packet yesterday. (No, it's not back to Nebraska...Not yet! That's in our long term plan, Lord willing.) We would appreciate your prayers during this process as this is application #3 in the past year!

The government is notorious for being slow about hiring/officially announcing so this will take a few months to know if he will get the promotion or not! We keep learning that patience is a virtue! We promise to keep you posted!

Love you all!
Sarah
