Our New Home

Sorry for the delay. Here is our new house! It is a brand new 4 bed/2.5 bath two-story with an upstairs laundry room, loft and a downstairs den. We love it and are thanking God every day for his blessings: for finding it and the incredible price in a normally very expensive part of the country to live! Before finding our agent, we were told to plan on spending $300,000 for a nice place in a good area. We were told that there is no way you could find a non-foreclosed house this big under $200,000. With God all things are possible! We prayed for a house with more room for hospitality, Bible studies, and fellowship! Thank you, Lord! May we use it to bless You!

Pictures are below. You can jump to those and skip all the extra house details, if you wish! For those that are into the house stuff, we were so excited to find out that it comes with 2" white faux wood blinds, all appliances including refrigerator/washer/dryer, garage door opener installed, closing costs paid for, and a landscaping credit to design our own front yard (some actually have grass here in the desert but we'll be doing the rocks and plant zeroscape theme!)

Our relocation package includes our closing costs so they substituted a $6,000 credit to go to the design center! It already has $23,000 in upgrades and we are limited since the house is done. Some of the things we can add are ceiling fans, security system monitoring fees for two years, more cabinets, a desk for the little niche in the loft, some decor, and mounted TVs! (Walt is already thinking about watching football on them!) Our appointment at the design center is this Friday and we can't wait to see how we'll get to play with $6,000!

Some of the upgrades already in the house are ceramic tile in the entry way, walkways, kitchen, and downstairs bath, frieze carpet everywhere else, two-tone paint (a pretty light sage green on the walls), upgraded master bath package (oil-rubbed bronze faucets, towel bars, shower head, etc), cabinets, front door, 7 pre-wired fan boxes with double switches, fireplace, media niche. In addition to some nice standard things such as silver door levers (instead of brass doorknobs), pretty faucets and lights in guest bathrooms, and a light package that is oil-rubbed bronze throughout the whole house.

These pics don't do it justice. We are so excited! We love all the windows!

Front- Great porch area!

Back of house...great covered patio...it looks small but it's big enough for a table and chairs!

Formal dining and living room

Kitchen with super deep pantry on right and an island with double-sided storage!

Family Room with Media Niche. Large den on the far left...you can see part of the doorway.

Downstairs guest bath. Walt always wanted a pedestal sink!

Upstairs loft.

Upstairs...we love the cabinets and work space! Laundry room is not far on the left.

Upstairs guest bath...we love that it has double vanities too!

Master bath- double vanities with upgraded faucets.
